NEW YORK STATE
ACTIONS
YOUR 2019-20 STATE SENATORS (overlapping with NY19)
For most of the last century, Republicans controlled the NY State Senate and, more recently, with the Independent Democratic Conference (IDC). However, most members of the IDC were ousted in the 2018 NY State Primary, and on November 6th, Democrats gained a true Senate majority. On January 2, 2019, New York will have a Democratic-controlled state government.
Be prepared to stay engaged and ready to support or pressure your electeds in the coming months.
