Background

Recent surveys have indicated that 84% of Americans want another wave of stimulus checks, and 160 million Americans are less than three months away from running out of money. Please call Sen. Schumer (202) 224-6542, Sen. Gillibrand (202)-224-4451, and Congressman Delgado 202-225-5614 with this suggested script:

This is [your name] from [town]. While the CARES Act was an important first step to help those impacted by the pandemic, it does not provide nearly enough support for American families, state and local governments, the USPS, and mail in voting.

[For Rep. Delgado]

-I urge you to co-sponsor the Emergency Money for the People Act  that Reps. Tim Ryan and Ro Khanna have introduced in the House. This act will provide a steady income of $2,000 per month to every American adult age 16 and older making less than $130,000, until employment returns to pre-COVID-19 levels.
-In addition, CARES2 must include funding for state and local governments to support first responders, hospitals, teachers, school lunch programs, and other school aid, Medicaid, and unemployment insurance. This should be non-negotiable.

[For Sens. Schumer/Gillibrand]

-I urge you to sponsor a companion bill to the the Emergency Money for the People Act  that Reps.

Thank you!
